Lydia Ko Wins Olympic Gold in Women's Golf

New Zealand's Lydia Ko has won the gold medal in the women's golf competition at the Olympic Games in Paris.

Ko finished two shots clear of the field on 10 under par, with a closing round of 1-under 71.

The 25-year-old Kiwi golfer is the reigning Olympic champion, having won gold at the 2016 Rio Games. She is also a two-time major champion, having won the ANA Inspiration in 2015 and the Evian Championship in 2017.

Ko's victory is a major triumph for New Zealand, which has never won an Olympic medal in golf.
